It has been a month since Julia left us. Our hearts ache. I find myself longing for another hug, another smile. I find myself praying for another “Julia wink”, like the zebra and pink scarf peeking out of the closet. The days feel empty even though I fill my time with work and various activities. There is something missing.
We have thrown ourselves into establishing Julia’s Grace Foundation. Hoping it will fill a small part of this void we feel, but more importantly knowing it will keep Julia’s light shining, helping others as she would have. Until the foundation website is completed, I will use this page to communicate upcoming events that are planned. For those of you that are in the area, there are two major events coming up to benefit the Julia’s Grace Foundation.
On November 16 the foundation will host Julia’s-PALOOZA on what would have been Julia’s ninth birthday. Julia’s-PALOOZA will feature a family event with fun-filled kids’ activities from noon to 3 pm with a $5 admission per person which includes a serving of Julia’s favorite, waffles and ice cream and a Beef and Beer from 7 pm to midnight for a $25 admission. March 1, 2014 we will be sponsoring a bus-trip to New York City to see WICKED. More details on this event will be available in the next few weeks
